Yesterday the MHSAA released its latest update for high school and middle school athletics in the state of Michigan. Full release can be found here.
What this means for Grass Lake students:
For High School Sports:
Golf and Cross Country are still cleared to practice and go forward with their scheduled competitions.
Volleyball and Boys Soccer is still allowed to practice but is not able to compete. Competition is being allowed in regions 6 and 8, we are in 7.
Football and Spring Sports have been given 16 voluntary practices to use up until October 31st. Information on those will be coming directly from the coaches.
Winter sports are now going to be required to follow the standard MHSAA offseason rules while staying outside.
For Middle School Sports:
Middle School football is currently suspended with the possibility of a spring season.
Middle School Cross Country is going to be allowed to start on August 31st. Middle School Volleyball will be postponed until we are allowed back into the school gyms (subject to possible change).
