Grass Lake Varsity Volleyball falls to a tough Manchester team for the opening match of the season. The Lady Warriors had a slow start in set one losing 25-12. Grass Lake started to pick up the pace but it wasn’t enough to take the second set (19-25). The team didn’t give up in the third set pushing back and taking set number three 25-23. Unfortunately the team gave up the fourth and final set (18-25). All around the team had a good hard fought night for being the first competition of the season since last fall. Jasmine Carr had an exceptional game in the front row leading the team with seven blocks and seven kills. Sophomore, Abby Buttigieg, lead the team defensively with 20 digs. Amelia Hamlin tallied up 18 assists. The Warriors are back in action Thursday night as they host Reading.
